Pull weeds
March 20th, we celebrate the Spring Equinox. But how? And why?
This specific time offers us an opportunity to think about our relationship between stillness and activity, rest and renewal, light and dark, and be clear with the weeds we want to pull, and the seeds we want to plant.
If you are like me, you may be feeling eager for more light, more fresh air, more movement, and more connection. The past few weeks have felt particularly chaotic. It gives me a little comfort knowing that this is (in part) because of the Equinox.
* But, how do we honor this time of change and this season of planting?
Check out two ideas below of rituals and actions to honor this season with intention
* What can we do to set ourselves up for the Spring we want and the season we need?
It's simple, actually >> put pen to paper with the journal prompts below

Journaling is always a good idea. Even if you haven't tried this before, give it a go. Don't overcomplicate it. Simply sit down (maybe in front of your alter!), take a few deep breaths, close your eyes, and pick a few of these prompts and let the ideas flow.
Imagine you are closing the chapter on Winter. What did this season teach you? What are you most grateful for from the last few months?
Get really quiet. Listen to and tune into your thoughts. What is awakening in you?
Is there one specific place in your life that needs a little weeding, decluttering or release? Why?
What about seeds? Where do you want to invest more energy? Where do you want to spend more time this season? Why?
If you are feeling a little stuck in your physical body, how can you make space and prioritize more movement?
Set one (or more if they call to you) intention or word or mantra for Spring. Write it down. Place it by your alter, or your bed, or in your purse, or on a post-it in your bathroom. Water it; often.
Around the world, the Spring Equinox is a time to honor rebirth, fertility and renewal; a time to emerge from a period of dormancy (winter) into a phase of revitalization.
The equinoxes are the only time when both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres experience roughly equal amounts of daytime and nighttime.
