A conversation with Cynthia Pedraza, a Twist Yoga 200 Hour Teacher Training grad, and teacher at Twist Yoga
+ What was your biggest surprise from Twist Yoga teacher training? To get accepted even though I enrolled the same day it got started. The amazing group of people who I trained with, and that eventually became friends. To understand the difference in between teaching and practicing. + What was your favorite part about Twist Yoga teacher training? I have so much favorite parts it's hard to tell, for me it was a life change experience that eventually allowed me to improve my asana practice as I learned proper alignment and safety for myself and my potential students. I also loved the focus of smart sequencing. + Who should do Twist Yoga teacher training? In my opinion anyone who wants to: Deepen their physical practice, become a teacher, find a community and anyone who wants to explore more about yoga and it's amazing gifts.
+ What does yoga mean to you? It's the journey to the inner self, its merging the outer world to the inner world in order to creat balance and harmony in your life. + How has your yoga practice changed since doing teacher training? My practice is more alive than ever, I got to connect in a deeper way having an amazing body awareness. You can find amazing teachers in life, but you can find THE teacher that changes the way you practice in the most beautiful way, you can go to many yoga studios but you can find THE studio that holds the space for you to grow, that gives you a yoga family, and more.

+ What was your biggest surprise from Twist Yoga teacher training? My overall physical and mental health has greatly improved. Once I began to feel the benefits of practicing yoga, it firmly rooted my routine and has cemented my conviction to continue + What was your favorite part about Twist Yoga teacher training? One aspect of teacher training that I didn’t anticipate, but has become vital, is the sense of community and friendship that was a result of the training. It really caught me by surprise how welcoming my fellow classmates have been towards me. The amount of encouragement that I have received is truly heartwarming and was really unexpected. + Who should do Twist Yoga teacher training? Anyone and everyone + What does yoga mean to you?Finding my focus and center. Practicing yoga has made me much more aware of mindfulness.+ How has your yoga practice changed since doing teacher training? My practice took a greater importance in my life. It has become a major facet of who I am and how I want to live.
