Mantras, Mudras and Yoga Teacher Training

Cynthia Pedraza is one of Twist Yoga’s most saught after teachers, She has a magical way of incorporating some of the more subtle parts of yoga into her challenging and heart-felt classes. She connects with our Yoga Teacher Training students in a very authentic way. We’re very fortunate to have her as an integral part of the program.

What is something you want people to know about Mantras and Mudras

Mudra is an ancient Sanskrit term meaning "gesture." We use mudras in yoga to cultivate a greater sense of awareness to certain energetic fields within the subtle body.

Mantra is a tool of the mind, a sound and a vibration that helps to keep your mind focused.

Practicing them can support your Yoga practice, or meditation by becoming more present and in tune with your inner-self.

What do you enjoy most about being a part of Twist Yoga Teacher Training

Yoga comes out of an oral tradition in which the teaching was transmitted directly from teacher to student, I have had the privilege to learn from great teachers, and now it is my honor to keep this tradition alive by passing along the gifts that this ancestral practice has to offer.

How has yoga changed your life?

I wouldn't say that Yoga has changed my life, Yoga has shaped my mind, has soften my heart, and has awaken my path. OM
