TWIST Eats: Nutrition and Sports
Eating before a football game is serious business. Players need to have sufficient energy to last for anywhere between 48-60 minutes. In order to do this, players must have energy in immediate reserves. Nutrition and sports go hand-in-hand to really take your craft to the next level. Well-rounded nutrient intake is vital for performance, while maintaining good health. Carbohydrates are especially key when it comes to game time.
TWIST Eats: Hydrating for Sports
Hydration is the key to good nutrition, healthy muscles, and peak performance. It reduces injuries, heat stress, and illness. Players must stay properly hydrated before, during, and after games and practices. But, how much do you really need to drink and why? And, how about sports drinks?

TWIST TIPS: Four Prenatal Nutrition Tips
If you’ve ever been pregnant (or happen to be right now) you know that the intention to eat well can quickly give way to the reality of cravings, morning sickness and food aversions. What follows are a few insights designed to inspire a healthy balance between the ideal and the realities we all face:
TWIST Tips: These are a few of our favorite things!
Twist swag, machine-washable mats and bras that flatter (and don’t flatten!) Twist Yoga personally tests all products, clothing, and retail items before stocking the shelves.
TWIST Tips: Yoga for Runners
A typical runner can experience anything from achy shoulders, tight legs to a sore back. Running often lends itself to tightening and shortening of muscles and high impact on the joints. Yoga, however, elongates and lengthens muscles, finding ease and stability in joints.
TWIST TIP: Coffee Grounds Scrub
Let’s face it. Your hands don’t lie. I wish they did, but there’s no getting around it. If we’re lucky, we all age, and our hands seem to age even faster than the rest of us. Sun damage, dishes, and yard work leave our hands beyond anything a typical moisturizer can combat.
TWIST Eats: Our Teachers FAVE Post-Yoga Snack
Often times, mine wanders to what I am going to eat after practice. Or, what I am going to eat at lunch? Or, what I am going to buy to eat at the grocery store? Or, what I would eat if I could eat anything in the entire world? You get the drift.
